Canadian actress Kristin Kreuk was born on December 30, 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia to a father of Dutch descent, Peter Kreuk, and a mother of Chinese descent, Deanna Che. Kristin's acting credentials during her senior year in high school included only roles in musicals and school plays so she was surprised when was given the part of Laurel Yeung in the television soap opera "Edgemont" in 2000.
In 2001, Kristin was given the role of Lana Lang, the love interest of Clark Kent, in the television series "Smallville". She also starred as Tenar in another television series "The Legend of Earthsea" in 2004. Kristin's first movie appearance was in the 2003 movie "Eurotrip," where was known for her cameo role as Fiona. She played the role of Naseem in the independent film called "Partition" in 2005.
